French actor Jean-Pierre Léaud is invited to be the special guest of 36th Fajr Int'l Filmfest.
Born in Paris, Jean-Pierre Léaud made his major acting debut at the age of 14 with playing Antoine Doinel, a recurring character in five movies directed by Francois Truffaut.
The French actor has played in a plethora of movies and has received several awards, including the Silver Bear for Best Actor at Berlin Int'l Filmfest.
In 2016, he was presented an honorary Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival.
Fajr International Filmfest pays tribute to quality local and international films. It is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and showcases films promoting artistic contribution to the medium.
The festival comprises sections such as Cinema Salvation, Eastern Vista and Cup of Divination. It also enjoys parallel sections, including Docs in Focus.
Directed by famed Iranian helmer Reza Mirkarimi, 2018 edition of Fajr International Film Festival is slated for April 19-27, 2018.
